Now that I am almost 13 years into motherhood, I can appreciate the blood, sweat and tears involved in this endeavor.

Is what she would say, somewhat airily, at my temerity to express difficulty with my two children while she had wrestled with NINE of us.
I would always respond:
"I know, just two makes me crazy...I can only imagine what having nine did..."
:)
Kidding aside, crazy provides a modicum of protection in an otherwise complicated world.
