“Be not the slave of your own past. Plunge into the sublime seas, dive deep and swim far, so you shall come back with self-respect, with new power, with an advanced experience that shall explain and overlook the old.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

A Piece of Work
This is my favorite piece at our friends' store called
Molto Bella Ceramica.
Isn't it interesting how the word piece is used to give value to an object
or to give substance to a rambling?
Anyhow, we spent the evening with some good friends
of ours.
The owner of this store is a gynecologist.
(Mike and Steve went to med school together)
(his wife is an ob-gyn too)
Ladies, how would you like to be examined by this guy???
Gynecologist on the left (Will the real McDreamy raise your hand?)
I don't know about you, but the last person I would like in that vicinity
during a pap smear is well, someone like that. (no offense, Mike)
A bar and a drag show later,
(pictures here)
I was done for the evening.
After all, I was judiciously avoiding a repeat performance of two weeks ago.
I left Steve partying and I went home early to work on my computer (*wink*).
Two hours into my sleep I was summoned from my slumber by Steve
stumbling in at 3 AM with more friends in tow.
Apparently, they bumped into a long lost friend,
John, who is a GI Doc. (He also graduated from med school with Steve)
Gentlemen, how would you like to be examined by this guy?
GI Doc on the right (will the real McDreamy raise your hand???)
Or by this guy???
Talk about a piece of work.
