While I was cleaning my sister-in-law called.

Her husband needed some documents from us and somehow lost in the translation was the fact it was needed yesterday. So I embarked on a rather speedy scavenger hunt down of three years worth of records, a marriage certificate,
a birth certificate, a passport, and a couple of other documents to prove that we are ---well not we but Steve really, is a productive member of society.
Proofs in hand I ran out of the house to jump into my car only to discover my car gone.
I had forgotten that it was in the shop.
Because it was drizzling I stuck the documents in a green plastic newspaper bag and started my trek on foot.
The first post office did not have a copying machine.
So in the rain I started jogging with my green bag in hand.
By the time I reached another mailing office that had a copier, and mailed it and got home I had jogged 1.75 miles.

Of course I shmuckily called my SIL right away to report about my task completion skills and to exaggerate the degree of difficulty.
I wanted to feel heroic and appreciated.
I know....bad form.
So much for not letting the left hand know what the right hand is doing.
But in fairness to myself, my SIL is the type to feel flattered and not bothered by any trouble experienced on her behalf. So it's a win-win.
It is 4:00 PM on a Friday.
May you have a peaceful weekend.
Life is too short to not focus on the positives.
