EXCERPT FROM THE ACTUAL INTERROGATION AT THE US-CANADIAN BORDER:
Border Patrol: "Whose children are these?"
Me: "Mine."
Border Patrol: "Are you still with their father?"
Me: "Yes (but exactly how that is your business...)"
Border Patrol: "Is he aware that you are taking them across the border?"
Me: "Yes (actually, no--I wonder if I will get charged roaming in Canada...I'd better inform him lest he gets a call from Homeland Security...)"
Border Patrol: "What is the purpose of your visit today?"
Me: "See Niagara Falls (actually Kika learned about how Annie Taylor-in a pre-feminist era no less, was the first person to hurl herself over Niagara Falls in a barrel. Taylor shocked the nation due to the fact that she was 68 yrs old,
a woman...and survived. We decided to visit the historic scene.)"
Border Patrol: "Have a nice Day."
